Dr. John LeGat
Dr. John LeGat is full body certified in Active Release Techniques and has been practicing “ART” since 1999. He is also one of the few Chiropractors in the state of Oregon to be certified in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy.
Dr. LeGat helps patients who have suffered injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents, work accidents or repetitive overuse as well as just “life happens” injuries. He also has extensive training in rehabilitation medicine in conjunction with sports medicine training. He currently treats many elite and recreational athletes in a multitude of different sports such as track and field, swimming, Olympic weight-lifting, bodybuilding, golf, water-skiing, snowboarding, and skiing, along with sky-diving, scuba diving and occasionally an Oregon Duck football or basketball player. He is also the local chiropractor for a number of Olympic athletes, including the current gold medalist in the decathlon, Ashton Eaton and his wife, Brianne Thiessen, an amazing heptathlete.
Dr. LeGat has been a guest lecturer for the Neurospine Institute in “Currents Trends in Chiropractic Care” and “Chiropractic Management of Running Related Injuries.” He has been teaching for the massage program at Lane Community College since 1995 on topics such as anatomy and physiology, pathology, advanced techniques and kinesiology.
